Each year, the Welland-Pelham Chamber of Commerce celebrates the spirit of business in our community with the Ruby Awards. Seven unique awards highlighting excellence in the areas of local business, community involvement and youth enrichment are presented at our Gala Reception. Named after instrumental Chamber founder Ruby Quaker, the awards are a commemoration of excellence in local business and community involvement.

This award is presented to an individual that has provided outstanding service to their customers and demonstrated true commitment to their profession. Nominations will be accepted from employers, customers and co-workers. Sponsored by Youngs Insurance Brokers.
This award celebrates a small business (defined as ten or less employees), which has been in operation for a minimum of three years.
This award will be presented to an individual within an organization who has significantly contributed to financial success, aided the company in achieving continuous growth and produced or offered a dependable product or service to the community while providing an outstanding workplace for its employees.
This award will be presented to a woman who has owned the same small business for a minimum of one year, consisting of a number of factors in which the nominee has moved forward in order to achieve business success. Home based businesses are included in this category, and this award is sponsored by Venture Niagara.
This Award is presented to a Welland/Pelham business that has focused on assuring that older customers are safe, comfortable and respected. This business will also support the principles set out in the “Creating an Age-Friendly Business” guide in Welland/Pelham. This award is sponsored by Plymouth Cordage Retirement Community.
This award is sponsored by Financial Divorce Solutions and selected by the Welland/Pelham Chamber of Commerce. It is presented to an outstanding local business and member. Recipients of the Business of the Month Award over the previous 12 months are the nominees for this award. The Welland/Pelham Chamber of Commerce selects the recipient of this award.
This award is presented to an individual who has shown ongoing commitment to the local Chamber Movement. It is presented in memory of Stuart Cumming who, upon his retirement from Atlas Steel, devoted his time to volunteering at the Chamber five days a week right up until his death.
